FLCCC History

The club was started in 1980 by a group of enthusiasts who had
a passion for cars and lived in the Finger Lakes region, thus
the name Finger Lakes Classic Chevy Club. We recently changed "Chevy" to "Car"

and opened the club up to all makes of automobile.

The club has held many car shows over the years and our first attempt for a car get together was a poker run and show from Panorama Plaza to Roseland Park in Canandaigua in 1981. Profits from this show were donated to the local volunteer ambulance corps. We held an annual show there until Roseland closed. We moved the show to the Canandaigua Fairgrounds race track for a few years. When we outgrew the fairgrounds, we had the opportunity to move to the MCC campus where we continued for quite a few years. When MCC became unavailable (they developed our field!) we helped the Caledonia Volunteer Fireman raise funds with a show on their field. Our last "Big" car show was at the Shriners Club in Webster where we were able to donate several thousand dollars for their good work. In 2016 we were invited to host a small, "invitation only" show at the Rochester Corn Hill festival which was very successful. We have also helped out with the Spurr Auto Group's annual cruise in/ show in Brockport for several years and we have a standing invitation to show cars at the Birchcrest Senior Home several times a year.
Below are a few pictures from our start.
